Im getting ready to install my CRV crank pulley on my 2000 gsr and I was wondering if I needed a different size belt. Can I still use my stock belt or do i need a bigger/smaller belt?

    thanks.

I don't have my files currently, but a search on the archives will find this question answered many times. (By me usually!)

I know that the alternator to crank belt will be a 4PK850(mm) or 335K4(inches)... the other two I am not sure of. Don't quote me, but I believe the A/C is ok to re-use, and the P/S needs to be 1" shorter than stock.
You can simply measure the differences in the pulley diameters at each belt location and then calculate the circumference of the pulley... then add or subtract this amount from that of the original belts.

I agree with Jim on the Crank-Alt. belt. 850mm

The Power Steering belt you want is 900mm.

You may be able to use the AC belt by greatly tightening the belt via the tensioner, but a smaller than stock (790mm) belt could work better.

You are going to need a different belt, but I am not sure which one though.

I haven't put an AC belt on in years, so I don't know exactly, but the AC pulley on the CRV pulley is smaller than on the GSR pulley, so either the belt must smaller or the tensioner must tighten things more.

    Holden and Jim,

I went to the local honda dealer today and they didnt have those size belts. They said that they only go by application not the lenth (i.e. 850mm). My question now is, where can I obtain these belts? Also, do I specify the belt for CRV or GSR? Are the belts for the CRV and GSR different or are they interchangable?

    Thanks.
